Define a minimal PHP version and avoid the installation if the system doesn't meet the requirements.
I couldn't find the minimal PHP version for GNU Social.
Right now the code requires version 5.5, because the finally statement is being used.
I used PHP 5.4 and no warning was raised on the installation, but then the application wasn't working well.
So, IMHO there are three things to do here:
- Define a PHP minimal version for GNU Social.
- Write it in the README.
- In the installation, check the system PHP version and if it is lower than minimal version, doesn't allow to continue the installation.
You are doing a great job!
